Progressive is seeking a claims adjuster trainee based in Edison, NJ. This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration two days per week with remote work the other days, during a 12‑month training period.

You’ll learn to manage a full claims load by phone, under supervision, with ongoing coaching from leaders. Compensation after training ranges from $64,500 to $69,000 per year, with hourly pay during training.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience OR Bachelor’s degree OR Two years work experience and an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage for claims.
• Determine liability and fault for damages.
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses.
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs.
• Negotiate with customers and other carriers to resolve claims.
