Job summary

Progressive is seeking a claims adjuster trainee in Bohemia, NY. You’ll learn to determine coverage, liability, interview customers, and manage the claims process from start to finish in a hybrid work environment.

The role offers in-office two days per week with the rest remote, with onboarding schedule and Gainshare incentive. Minimum qualifications include 3 years of work experience or a Bachelor’s degree or 2 years plus an associate degree.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree OR
• Two years work experience and an associate degree

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage
• Determine liability (who’s at fault for the damages)
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims
