Job summary

Progressive is seeking a claims adjuster trainee for a hybrid role based in Duluth, MN. You’ll learn to determine coverage and liability, interview customers and witnesses, and coordinate with appraisers to manage vehicle repairs.

The training period supports in-office days and flexible work options, with ongoing coaching from leaders. During training you’ll be paid hourly; after completing training, your salary will be $54,000–$57,500 per year with a gainshare incentive.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree OR
• Two years work experience and an associate degree

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage
• Determine liability (who’s at fault for the damages)
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims
