Job summary

Progressive Insurance in the United States seeks a claims adjuster trainee to learn how to help customers recover after an accident. This role is phone-based, with ongoing coaching from leaders and a collaborative team environment.

You’ll gain in-depth training on property damage and insurance contracts to confidently and independently adjust claims. This is a hybrid position: in-office two days per week, with the other three days flexible between home or office for 12 months.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree OR
• Two years work experience and an associate degree

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage
• Determine liability (who’s at fault for the damages)
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims
