Job summary

Kleinschmidt Group is seeking an Entry-Mid level Civil Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team delivering dam removals, embankment repairs, fish passage facilities, recreation and renewable energy projects, and stream restorations. You will develop designs and provide construction support with senior staff.

This hybrid role allows office and remote work across multiple locations, with 2-3 days per week in the office. Travel may be required with an EIT/BS in Civil Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Erosion & sediment control and stormwater management design experience.
• Prior exposure to engineering design/construction support tasks.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) is preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with senior staff on all stages of project delivery from conceptual designs to issued for bid construction drawings.
• Collaborate with scientists, data analysts, engineers, and licensing experts to develop solutions for renewable energy projects.
• Gain specialized expertise related to civil site design, hydraulic fish passage, slope and embankment protection, and stream channel design.
• Perform field data collection, engineering calculations, design using CAD, GIS analysis, and technical writing.
