Job summary

Goodwill Talent Solutions is seeking a Contract Child Support Officer II for the Office of the Texas Attorney General in La Marque, TX. The role is hybrid after in-office training and involves detailed investigations, case research, data entry, and customer communication.

You will work with the ChAMP system, manage confidential information, and explain policies to customers while upholding Texas Family Law and federal rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in data entry, investigations, or customer service is a plus.
• Ability to learn and navigate web-based case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations to locate parties, verify employment, and identify assets.
• Research and review child support cases using computer systems, including ChAMP.
• Prepare documents related to establishing and enforcing child and medical support orders.
• Negotiate lump-sum payments and out-of-court agreements.
• Monitor cases and refer delinquent cases for appropriate enforcement action.
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain electronic case files.
• Review cases for potential closure.
• Explain child support policies and procedures to customers and respond to inquiries and complaints.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable child support policies, Texas Family Law, and federal regulations.
