Job summary

Goodwill Talent Solutions is seeking a Contract Child Support Officer II to support the Office of the Texas Attorney General’s Child Support Division. This hybrid role involves case research, data entry, document review, and customer communication, with initial in-office training and hybrid schedule thereafter.

You will learn web-based case management systems (ChAMP), locate parties, verify employment, and prepare orders while maintaining confidentiality and following policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in data entry, investigations, collections, customer service, records management, or legal administration is a plus.
• Ability to learn web-based case management systems and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations to locate parties, verify employment, and identify assets.
• Research and review child support cases using computer systems, including ChAMP.
• Prepare documents related to establishing and enforcing child and medical support orders.
• Negotiate lump-sum payments and out-of-court agreements.
• Monitor cases and refer delinquent cases for enforcement action.
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain electronic case files.
• Explain child support policies and respond to inquiries and complaints.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable child support policies, Texas Family Law, and federal regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with agency policies.

About the Position

Goodwill Talent Solutions is seeking a Contract Child Support Officer II to support the Office of the Texas Attorney General’s Child Support Division.This is a detail-oriented, computer-based position involving case research, investigation, data entry, document review, and customer communication. Candidates should be comfortable working with detailed information and learning web-based case management systems, including the Children Are My Priority (ChAMP) system.The position is hybrid after the initial in-office training period.
