USF Federal Credit Union in Temple Terrace, FL seeks a Post Charge Off Recovery Specialist. Under supervision, you will mitigate charged-off debt, file Small Claims cases, and coordinate with attorneys or third-party agencies to recover funds.

You will track monthly productivity, prepare 1099 submissions, and work with the Collection Manager to review challenging accounts. The role requires strong time management, analytical skills, and knowledge of banking compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of lending or collections experience.
• Experience filing Small Claims cases.

Responsibilities

• Manages post-charge-off portfolio to maximize recovery and negotiates with members.
• Maintains accurate collection/skip tracing records of all contact and actions.
• Manages legal strategies; files Small Claims or coordinates filing with Attorney.
• Prepares monthly trends and recovery reporting.
• Meets with Collection Manager to review results and receive recommendations on difficult accounts.
• Cross trains in other areas as needed.
