Job summary

Hot Springs Health in Thermopolis, WY is seeking a Centralized Scheduler for a full-time, hybrid role. You will manage patient appointments, verify insurance, input patient data, and coordinate with medical staff to support clinic operations.

The ideal candidate has a CMA certification preferred, 2–3 years of medical office experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and a willingness to work outside hours when needed. Travel to clinics 2–3 times monthly.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• 2–3 years medical office or hospital experience preferred.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Communication skills, both orally and written.
• Good organizational and leadership abilities.
• Basic computer skills necessary.
• Occasionally work outside normal office hours if needed.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Schedule patient appointments coordinating times.
• Enter new patient information accurately in the computer system.
• Update established patient information in the computer system.
• Obtain and verify all insurance information for appointments.
• Determine accurate reason for patient visit to schedule correct time.
• Cooperate and communicate with Medical Staff.
• Schedule hospital and ED follow-up visits.
• Schedule physicians for stress tests and scans.
• Reschedule and cancel appointments as needed.
• Inform patients about clinic billing policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality complying with HIPAA.
• Travel to a HSH clinic 2–3 times monthly as needed.
