Job summary

AECOM is seeking a CEI Senior Project Engineer to support and oversee transportation and infrastructure projects in the Tallahassee, Florida region. This role provides technical leadership and construction engineering inspection to ensure projects meet contract requirements, quality standards, and schedules.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain Florida endorsement within six months of NTP, with extensive experience in complex project delivery and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
• Due to the nature of the projects a US Citizenship is required
• Professional Engineer (PE) and the ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state

Responsibilities

• Directing a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program
• Planning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff members
• Developing and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and procedures
• Reviewing programs for conformance with Department standards
• Supports, oversees and coordinates engineering production activities for an operating unit
• Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative
• Initiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within the company and is skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issues
• Under minimal supervision, performs complex duties utilizing advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and methods
• Assumes lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support staff
