Job summary

AECOM is seeking a CEI Senior Project Engineer to oversee transportation and infrastructure projects in the Jacksonville, Florida region. This role provides technical leadership, construction engineering inspection support, and alignment with contract requirements, quality standards, and schedules.

The candidate should bring extensive CEI/engineering experience, PE licensure, and the ability to obtain Florida endorsement within six months of NTP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years related experience or equivalent
• US Citizenship required
• Valid US Driver’s License to visit project sites
• PE license with ability to obtain Florida endorsement within six months of Project NTP if licensed elsewhere

Responsibilities

• Directing a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program
• Planning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff members
• Developing and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and procedures
• Reviewing programs for conformance with Department standards
• Supports, oversees and coordinates engineering production activities for an operating unit
• Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative
• Initiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within the company and is skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issues
• Assumes lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support staff

Education

Bachelor's degree + 10 years experience

Master's Degree in Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) license
