Applegreen is seeking a Category Manager for its New Jersey retail business. You will develop category strategies across assigned portfolios, optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions, and partner with operations, marketing, and finance to drive growth and improve margins.

The role requires strong analytical capabilities, supplier negotiation experience, and proven leadership. Hybrid work with 3 days in Glen Rock, NJ, offers opportunities to influence multiple markets while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Min 5 years in retail buying, category management, merchandising, or procurement.
• Strong negotiation with supplier partners.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Office.
• Experience with PDI and retail reporting platforms.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret data and drive business decisions.
• Strong planning, organization, and project management.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies to grow sales and margins.
• Manage product assortment, pricing, promotions, and merchandising.
• Analyze sales, margin, and market data to identify trends.
• Lead supplier negotiations and joint business plans.
• Create planograms and promotional calendars with ops and marketing.
• Collaborate with ops, supply chain, finance, and marketing.
• Mentor junior team members and drive a high-performance culture.
