Applegreen is seeking a Category Manager in New Jersey to lead category strategies, manage assortment, pricing, and promotions across a retail portfolio. You will partner with Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain to optimize offerings and drive growth in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong analytical skills, 5+ years in retail, and proven vendor negotiation capabilities. Hybrid work arrangement is available, with 3 days in the Glen Rock, NJ office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in retail buying, category management, merchandising, or procurement.
• Strong experience negotiating supplier agreements and managing vendor relationships.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Office Suite.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies to grow sales and profitability.
• Manage product assortment, pricing, promotions, and merchandising plans.
• Lead vendor negotiations and build joint business plans with suppliers.
• Deliver accurate forecasts, budgets, and performance reporting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Ops, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
• Mentor junior team members and support continuous improvement.
