Job summary

Applegreen, a leading roadside retailer, is seeking a Category Manager to develop and execute category strategies across our retail portfolio in New Jersey. You will lead assortment, pricing, promotions, and vendor partnerships while partnering with Operations, Marketing, and Finance to deliver growth and a best-in-class customer experience.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of retail buying or category management experience, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative, data-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Proven experience in retail category management, merchandising, or procurement.
• Strong ability to analyze data and translate insights into action.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies to drive sales growth and profitability.
• Manage product assortment, pricing, promotions, and merchandising for assigned categories.
• Analyze sales, margin, market trends, and customer data to identify opportunities.
• Conduct category reviews and implement action plans to improve performance.
• Deliver accurate category forecasts, budgets, and performance reporting.
• Monitor product lifecycle and adjust assortment as needed.
• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and vendors to execute plans.
