Job summary

ACTS in Richmond, VA seeks a Full-time Caseworker to deliver hybrid, grant-funded case management for clients in housing crisis. You will handle intake, assess needs, determine emergency financial assistance eligibility, and refer to community resources under COO supervision.

You will maintain records, document assessments, and submit monthly reports while coordinating with partners. Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BSW or related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• Knowledge of low-income populations and housing stability issues preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial intake assessments to identify need and eligibility for emergency financial assistance and case management.
• Provide short-term, goal-oriented casework services, referral services, emergency financial assistance, financial counseling and case management as assigned by COO.
• Maintain appropriate records, documenting client assessments and submitting case notes as required by COO; maintain data base and submit monthly reports.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, staff development and special events.
• Assist in agency services as needed in consultation with COO.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
