Job summary

CAROLINA LEGAL ASSOCIATES in Columbia, SC seeks a hybrid Case Manager/Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support a plaintiffs' personal injury practice. You will handle discovery materials, docketing, and client communication while the supervising attorney focuses on drafting.

This role blends intake, case management, and responsive client service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with strong writing skills, experience with CM/ECF, and comfort coordinating with medical providers.

Qualifications

• Experience with civil litigation workflows and case intake.
• Ability to draft and organize discovery materials and requests for production.
• Strong written communication skills and professional client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for an active caseload.
• Guide clients through the litigation process with empathy and clear communication.
• Gather information for discovery and requests for production.
• Manage docketing and keep the calendar updated with deadlines.
• File litigation documents in State and Federal Courts (CM/ECF).
• Track medical treatment plans and summarize case materials.
• Complete the new client intake process efficiently.
• Answer basic client questions and route complex issues to the attorney.
