Job summary

Amgen in New York is seeking a Medical Science Liaison for the Cardiovascular Metabolic portfolio. You will educate healthcare partners, present clinical data, and support payers and formulary discussions to advance scientific value.

The role requires advanced medical degree with extensive Medical Affairs experience and a cardio-metabolic focus; you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, train speakers, and contribute to investigator-initiated studies.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, or Master’s with 3+ years in Medical Affairs, or Bachelor’s with 5+ years in Medical Affairs.
• 5+ years of industry experience in Scientific or Medical Affairs.
• Two or more years in clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• Cardio-metabolic expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with healthcare partners to educate and communicate clinical and economic data.
• Provide in-depth clinical and economic support to payers, IDNs, and committees.
• Serve as medical point of contact at prioritized local payer and IDN accounts.
• Respond to inquiries and share insights with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and implement scientific engagement plans and local OL plans.
• Support speaker training and investigator-initiated studies.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional project teams for MSL strategies.
• Collaborate on congress activities and ensure alignment with strategy.
• Maintain clinical knowledge and mentor new hires or trainees.
