Job summary

Sargent & Lundy invites motivated CAD drafters to join a multi-disciplinary team in a hybrid work setting. You will draft design drawings, apply 3D CAD skills, and create scaled master sketches showing installations relative to existing facilities and exact specifications.

You will gain hands-on experience with 3D design tools, collaborate with engineers and designers, and participate in on-site walkdowns and vendor discussions to refine designs as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or high school diploma with equivalent design experience.
• Advanced drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools (e.g. MicroStation).
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.
• Knowledge of MicroStation.
• Ability to multi-task across projects.

Responsibilities

• Draft design drawings as part of a multi-disciplinary team based on design input.
• Apply CAD skills and receive hands-on training in 3D design software environments.
• Create master sketches to scale showing relations to existing facilities with precise specifications.
• Assist experienced designers on walkdowns at client facilities to gather information for your design project.
• Explain drawings to vendors and construction contractors to enable design adjustments.
