Job summary

AZAD Technology Partners currently seeks an Engineering Technician to support line engineering through CAD drafting and ProjectWise documentation maintenance for overhead conductor, fiber cables, ground wire, and related hardware. This is a 2+ year consultant role with strong potential for long-term employment.

Hybrid position based in Vancouver, Washington with onsite 1–2 days per week. Competitive hourly pay plus a health/benefits fringe of $5.09, reflecting qualification-based compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, CAD, Drafting, Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 1 year of directly related work experience required.
• Knowledge of engineering drafting practices.
• At least six months of engineering technician CAD experience required.
• Ability to read, understand, and analyze engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams.
• Ability to use computer tech in the performance of assigned engineering technician work.
• Experience using CAD software to create engineering drawings, preferably MicroStation, Excel, and/or SolidEdge.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License or RealID required.

Responsibilities

• Support line engineering by performing CAD drafting.
• Maintain ProjectWise documentation and organization of overhead conductor, fiber-optic cables, ground wire, and related hardware.
