AZAD Technology Partners seeks an Electrical Engineering Technician to support the Engineering Support organization within the Substation Engineering department. You will help produce indoor and outdoor substation drawings, manage material requests, and prepare project documents for assigned work.

The position is a 2+ year consultant with hybrid work in Vancouver, WA, requiring 3 days on-site. The role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits focused on health and welfare fringe benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate's degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
• 6 months of electrical engineering work experience required.
• Understanding of electrical power substation including protection schemes and control systems.
• 6 months of directly related experience as an electrical technician or CAD support.
• Experience with CAD and drawing management software.
• Experience with data storage, database management, and records maintenance.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License or RealID required.

Job Description

Join AZAD Technology Partners as an Electrical Engineering Technician and provide professional support and assistance to the Engineering Support organization, part of the broader Substation Engineering department. This assignment will assist in producing indoor and outdoor electrical power substation and facility design drawings, material requests, and other documents required for the design of assigned projects. This assignment may be assigned to collaborate and provide support for internal and external Transmission Engineering departments throughout the agency as assigned.

This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid based in Vancouver, Washington with onsite 3 days per week. The hourly pay rate for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $5.09) is between $24.68 and $31.09 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.

The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:

• A bachelor's or associate's degree in electrical engineering, mathematics, computer science, or a closely related field is preferred.
• 6 months of electrical engineering work experience in a technical/engineering environment is required with or without an applicable degree.
• Demonstrated understanding of electrical power substation including protection schemes, control systems, and outdoor equipment.
• 6 months of directly related experience as an electrical technician or CAD support.
• Experience with CAD and drawing management software.
• Experience working with data storage, database management, and records maintenance.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License or RealID is required.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with electrical high voltage substation indoor and outdoor design and drafting in the utility industry.
• Experience with MicroStation CAD software.
• Experience with ProjectWise software.
