Job summary

CSBA in West Sacramento is seeking a qualified Business Analyst to support technology programs by defining, analyzing, and documenting business requirements. You will contribute to the delivery of robust solutions and work with leadership, vendors, and staff to ensure success.

The role emphasizes data analysis, process improvement, and strategic planning within a hybrid work setting, with occasional travel as needed. A bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education Leadership, Business Admin, Computer Science or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, information technology, education policy research/analysis, and project management.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document stakeholder business needs to inform technology solutions.
• Create functional specs, user stories, and workflows to guide delivery.
• Lead interviews, workshops, and research to understand business needs and translate into requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Monitor project progress and mitigate risks to ensure on-time delivery.
