Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Building Automation Software Engineer to design and program BAS systems for commercial facilities in the Great Lakes region. The role involves site-specific configuration, integration of BACnet, Modbus, LON, and other protocols, and collaboration with hardware and operations teams.

The position reports to the Ohio Engineering Manager and offers a hybrid schedule with 1–2 days in the office and 3–4 days remote per week.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in HVAC or BAS controls.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/HVAC/building automation or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and program building automation systems and control algorithms.
• Site-specific configuration of control systems.
• Test programming and interfaces prior to deployment.
• Provide technical support to sales to meet customer needs.
