Job summary

Jobot is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support a growing Cleveland-area firm with day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, and reporting. The role offers training from seasoned CPAs and strong potential for long-term growth within the firm.

You will handle bank transactions, month-end reconciliations, payroll processing, and tax filings while building solid client relationships in a supportive, family-focused culture. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping and payroll experience.
• Strong MS Excel and verbal/written communication skills.
• Experience delivering quality client service under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Code and enter bank statement transactions and other bookkeeping activity for multiple clients
• Complete month-end processes and reconcile client bank accounts
• Provide backup support to other accounting team members and their clients as needed
• Prepare payroll reports, sales tax returns, year-end tax forms, and financial statements (monthly/quarterly/annual)
• Administer client payroll, including onboarding/termination updates, pay rate and deduction changes, timesheet review, direct deposit processing, and payroll tax deposits
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through timely, responsive communication
