Job summary

The Salvation Army ARC Command Center is seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper (Data Entry) to safeguard financial records across multiple locations. You will utilize our accounting software to process transactions, post entries, and generate reports that support mission-driven operations.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, proficiency in QuickBooks or Sage, and a collaborative approach to working with ARC Accountants and Finance leadership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage or similar programs.
• Experience with multi-location accounting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process various financial transactions using accounting software.
• Post journal entries and prepare financial reports.
• Code, review, post AP invoices and process checks.
• Prepare AR invoices for vouchers and reconciliation.
• Identify and post incoming wire transfers.
• Match store deposits to daily sales and card postings.
• Perform daily reconciliations for ARCs and stores.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and GAAP compliance.
