Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Global Product Support (GPS) Engineer to support installation, startup, qualification, and ongoing operation of the Kinex Hybrid Bonding platform for CTO advanced packaging programs.

You will coordinate with Facilities, BESI, product engineering, and CTO teams to bring the system from installation through process readiness, performing hands-on support, system integration, startup execution, and vendor engagement.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering; mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics background.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment and startup/installation is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Installation & startup support for Kinex platform from tool dock to engineering use.
• Coordinate Tier 0–Tier 2 startup activities and complete punch-list items.
• Support factory/site acceptance with vendors and develop recovery plans.
• Coordinate with Facilities, EHS, and infrastructure teams for integration.
• Analyze equipment performance, drive root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Engage BESI and Kinex product engineering teams for tech reviews and upgrades.
• Assist in process development and advanced packaging activities with CTO teams.
