Job summary

BlackLine is seeking a Senior Analyst in San Jose to own and optimize the BlackLine platform within a multinational finance team. You will drive system enhancements, support SOX-compliant controls, and collaborate with stakeholders across the Americas to improve financial operations and reporting quality.

You will manage configurations, user access, and governance while leading enhancement projects and ensuring alignment with audits and process improvements in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Finance or Accounting within a multinational organization; pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
• Experience as a BlackLine Administrator is required.
• Experience in Shared Services, process transitions, migrations, or transformation projects is highly desirable.
• Strong project management experience, including knowledge transfer, process documentation, stakeholder management, and status reporting.
• Business-level proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple BlackLine implementation and enhancement projects with minimal supervision, ensuring successful delivery and stakeholder alignment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all BlackLine-related projects, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Administer the BlackLine platform, including configuration, user maintenance, and system governance activities.
• Ensure SOX IT controls compliance by managing user access, security reviews, documentation, and audit evidence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve BlackLine system issues, including access requests and integration concerns.
• Prepare supporting documentation, reports, and evidence for internal and external audits.
• Execute Account-to-Report (AtR) processes across the Americas, ensuring accuracy and control adherence.
• Understand financial process flows, system interfaces, and dependencies to ensure internal controls effectiveness.
• Review, certify, and monitor Balance Sheet reconciliations and remediation of items.
• Maintain AtR process trackers and operational reports; perform monthly GL reconciliations.
