Job summary

BlackLine is seeking a Finance Business Partner to collaborate with Product and Engineering to drive FP&A, automation, and scalable finance practices. You’ll influence management decisions, support headcount planning, and deliver executive-level reporting on product performance and strategic initiatives.

You will help define capital allocation, build driver-based models, and partner with corporate FP&A to ensure accurate product-line statements, contributing to BlackLine’s growth trajectory.

Qualifications

• 10+ years FP&A/FinOps or related finance function experience.
• 6+ years in finance business partnership, supporting software R&D or cloud functions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track headcount with business partners and talent acquisition.
• Partner with product and engineering leaders to create annual operating budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.
• Develop and present reporting packages to Product and Engineering Leadership—Monthly/Quarterly/Executive presentations.
• Deliver analysis on product performance, profitability trends, and variance drivers to executives and product leadership.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of product-line financial statements with FP&A and accounting.
• Lead financial evaluation and business case development for major new products, features, and R&D initiatives.
• Develop capital allocation framework balancing near-term ROI and long-term strategic value.
• Develop and use data analytics to drive decisions with large datasets; create driver-based models.
• Participate in system enhancements to scale and use AI to improve finance processes.
