Job summary

Corcept Therapeutics, based in Redwood City, CA, seeks a Senior Manager, SOX to lead the Sarbanes-Oxley program, focusing on internal controls over financial reporting and IT general controls. This hybrid role requires on-site presence three days per week.

You will partner with Finance, Internal Audit, IT, and external auditors to maintain a robust control environment, lead remediation efforts, and support ERP initiatives and annual testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/IS/business or related field.
• CPA, CIA, CISA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 8+ years in SOX compliance or internal controls, biotech a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the annual SOX 404 program and control testing.
• Maintain Risk Control Matrix, narratives, and evidence.
• Lead walkthroughs across access, change mgmt, ops, and SLDC.
• Assess deficiencies and drive remediation with control owners.
• Manage in-scope reports, testing status, and governance.
• Support ERP implementations and post-implementation monitoring.
• Provide SOX training and liaise with auditors and stakeholders.
• Travel on ad hoc basis as needed.
