Job summary

Vertex seeks a detail‑driven student for a 6‑month CMTO Change Management Co‑Op in Boston. You’ll support change control in a regulated quality environment, develop templates with AI guidance, and assist with an operational excellence project to streamline end‑to‑end change control.

The role is a full‑time paid co‑op, offering hands‑on experience in QMS, lifecycle management, and AI‑enabled content standardization.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Quality/Regulatory, Business Operations, or related fields.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; interest in quality systems and process improvement.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support change control activities within a regulated quality environment.
• Develop change control templates and AI guidance aligned with Vertex SOPs.
• Support an operational excellence project to create a lean, scalable solution for change control.
• Assist with tracking, transmission, and reporting of change controls across teams.
