Job summary

Vertex Co-Op in Boston offers a 6-month, paid internship in Project Management within the CGT PMSO department. You’ll assist a CMC project manager, develop tools for project tracking, and gain exposure to CMC drug development and manufacturing processes.

You will collaborate with Regulatory, Quality, Device/Human Factors, and other teams, while building hands-on experience in an innovative, inclusive culture at Vertex.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems on the fly and work under ambiguity.
• Comfortable in fast-paced environments where speed matters.
• Able to manage concurrent projects and stay organized.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support CMC project planning, coordination, and tracking across active projects and workstreams.
• Maintain project tools and documentation (schedules, risk registers, charters, trackers, meetings).
• Prepare status updates and track milestones, dependencies, risks, and actions.
• Coordinate meeting logistics and cross-functional communication among CMC, Regulatory, Quality, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives (Smartsheet templates, regulatory trackers, AI-enabled tools).
• Assist with defined project assignments, including Pediatric Human Factors study workstreams.
