Job summary

Atrium Staffing LLC is recruiting a Billing & Collections Specialist in the Boston area to manage the full billing cycle—from prebills through final invoicing and e-billing submission. You will support the Billing & Collections Manager, interact with attorneys and staff, and handle day-to-day AR collections, deposits, and posting.

The role requires 3-5 years of law firm billing experience, proficiency with Fulcrum/e-Billing Hub or similar systems, strong Excel skills, and a client-service

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of client billing and e-billing in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Experience with time and billing software.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; database experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; client-service mindset.
• Discreet with confidential information; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain client billing details, including non-standard billing arrangements.
• Generate monthly prebills and distribute for review.
• Process billing edits (rates, time transfers, narratives) with attorneys and staff.
• Prepare final bills and route for approval and distribution.
• Submit electronic bills and track acceptance; resolve rejections.
• Maintain accurate client and matter billing data.
• Prepare and distribute monthly reminder statements.
• Assist with cost/disbursement entry and deposits posting.
• Respond to AR inquiries; communicate with clients about payments.
• Monitor accounts receivable to help meet revenue targets.
• Collaborate with attorneys on outstanding balances.
• Prepare AR reports and write-offs as needed.
