Job summary

Shermco Industries is seeking a Billing Administrator for a hybrid role based out of Houston, Texas. The position emphasizes weekly and monthly invoicing, data entry, and the preparation and issuance of bills, invoices, and account statements.

The role supports Project Managers, maintains ledgers and credit balances, and resolves account irregularities while ensuring timely payments. Strong accounting knowledge and ERP experience are required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting/Business Administration is an asset.
• Enrollment in the CPA program would be an asset.
• A combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Several years of billing/accounts payable/receivable experience preferred but not required.
• Thorough understanding of general accounting practices.
• Knowledge of provincial and federal sales taxes (RST/PST/GST).
• Experience with ERP systems such as Business Central or Navision is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, account statements and other financial statements.
• Compile budget data and documents based on estimated revenues and expenses and previous budgets.
• Prepare period or cost statements or reports.
• Respond to customer inquiries and maintain good customer relations.
• Perform related clerical duties and document filing.
• Post billing data to profit/loss reports and balance sheets.
