Job summary

PACER Center, Inc. is seeking a Bilingual Parent Trainer and Advocate (Spanish) to support families navigating special education and the IEP process across Minnesota. The role emphasizes culturally responsive services for Hispanic and Latino communities and involves developing trainings, resources, and outreach.

The position is full-time and salaried with a hybrid work schedule, offering benefits and a salary range of $50,000–$75,000 depending on experience. Travel within Minnesota is expected.

Qualifications

• Fluent in writing, speaking and reading both in English and Spanish.
• Experience and cultural competence working with Hispanic and Latino communities.
• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills.
• Experience in public speaking and training may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual, telephone, e-mail, and in-person assistance to parents regarding special education procedures (IDEA).
• Develop and present training online and in-person for families and professionals on special education and family engagement.
• Develop materials in Spanish and English and adapt presentations accordingly.
• Maintain timely and accurate database records of contacts and work performed.
