Job summary

The Committee for Hispanic Children and Families, Inc. seeks a Senior Early Education Specialist to coach, train, and provide technical assistance to Family Child Care providers across Brooklyn, ensuring high-quality early learning.

The role emphasizes strong English/Spanish communication and relationship-building with educators and families. Hybrid work arrangement with travel across boroughs to support program quality, professional development, and resource connections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Full professional fluency in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, writing).
• Must obtain Aspire Credential within six months of hire; Aspire Credential already possessed is preferred.
• Must obtain Trainer and Technical Assistance Professional (T-TAP) Credential within two years of hire.
• Experience in early childhood education, coaching, training, or quality improvement initiatives is preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, relationship‑building, and case management skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 15 Family Child Care providers.
• Conduct assessments using FCCERS-3 and CLASS.
• Develop and implement individualized coaching and quality improvement plans.
• Provide onsite coaching, technical assistance, and professional development support.
• Facilitate at least two workshops or trainings per month.
• Connect providers with resources, grants, and community supports.
• Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, and reporting.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and agency events.
• Travel throughout Brooklyn and other boroughs to support childcare providers and program quality initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
