Job summary

El Centro de la Raza in King County, Seattle, seeks a Parent Educator to deliver in-home education and group workshops using the PAT model. You will conduct home visits, track data, and participate in trainings, serving families with children from birth to kindergarten age.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, five years of experience, and bilingual Spanish/English communication. Local travel and a flexible schedule are part of the job.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field.
Minimum five years of experience working with young children and/or parents in early childhood/ family settings.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, with effective communication in both languages.

Responsibilities

Provides twice monthly home visits to a caseload of 18 families with children from birth to kindergarten-age.
Delivers monthly group workshops to families with Parents as Teachers/Growing and Learning Together program.
Conducts culturally and linguistically appropriate outreach to recruit families.
Attends PAT trainings and related certifications.
Collects and tracks participant data in PAT system and organizational database; completes required reports.
Works with program team and supervisor on meetings and departmental activities.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
