Job summary

Jobot in Dallas-Fort Worth is seeking a BAS/EMS Estimator to join our growing team on a hybrid, full-time basis. You will develop detailed estimates for BAS, EMS, and HVAC projects, review drawings and specs, and build cost models with strong margins.

You will collaborate with Sales to qualify opportunities and ensure competitive bids. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in building automation or energy systems, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple bids while communicating

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Building Automation, HVAC controls, or energy systems.
• Ability to read construction documents and perform digital takeoffs.
• Strong Excel skills and understanding of project costing, labor, and margins.
• Organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple bids.
• Collaborative mindset with clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed estimates and proposals for BAS, EMS, and HVAC controls projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to define project scope.
• Perform digital takeoffs and build accurate cost models with margin awareness.
• Partner with Sales to qualify opportunities and manage CRM activity.
• Coordinate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids.
• Assist with RFIs, scope clarifications, and bid-day strategy.
