Job summary

Jobot in Dallas-Fort Worth is seeking a BAS/EMS Estimator to join our growing team on a hybrid, full-time basis. You will develop detailed estimates for BAS, EMS, and HVAC projects, review drawings and specs, and build cost models with strong margins.

You will collaborate with Sales to qualify opportunities and ensure competitive bids. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in building automation or energy systems, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple bids while communicating

• Coordinate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids.
• Assist with RFIs, scope clarifications, and bid-day strategy.

Building Automation / EMS Estimator

Full-Time | Dallas-Fort Worth | Hybrid

Summary: A well-established Building Automation and HVAC controls integrator is looking to add a BAS / EMS Estimator to its growing team in Dallas. This role blends technical expertise with sales collaboration - perfect for someone who understands controls systems and enjoys turning plans and specs into competitive, well-structured proposals.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop detailed estimates and proposals for BAS, EMS, and HVAC controls projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to clearly define project scope
• Perform digital takeoffs and build accurate cost models with strong margin awareness
• Partner with Sales to qualify opportunities, support customer conversations, and manage CRM activity
• Coordinate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids
• Assist with RFIs, scope clarifications, and bid-day strategy to reduce risk
• Support positioning of automation solutions with engineers, contractors, and end users

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC controls, or energy systems
• Ability to read construction documents and perform digital takeoffs
• Strong Excel skills and understanding of project costing, labor, and margins
