Xcel Energy is offering a Business Analyst Intern position within the Credit & Collections tower, part of a major CIS Modernization program. The role provides hands-on experience gathering requirements, assisting design workshops, and documenting current and future processes in a large-scale enterprise environment.

Based in the Boulder, Colorado area with hybrid scheduling, this internship is aimed at students in Finance, Accounting, Economics, IS, or Analytics programs seeking practical

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a college student (Sophomore or higher).
• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, IS, Analytics, Data Analytics or PM.
• Limited travel (10-15%).
• Available to work full-time in summer and part-time during the school year.
• Willing to commute to the designated hybrid work location.

Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and organize business requirements for Credit & Collections.
• Support requirements and design workshops; capture notes and decisions.
• Document current-state and future-state processes and maintain traceability.
• Summarize data to support analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate with SMEs, consultants, and other towers to clarify questions.
• Support testing by documenting test scenarios and tracking results.
