Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA (Hybrid schedule) is seeking an Accounts Receivable Collector to join the Finance team. You will manage a high-volume commercial customer portfolio, contact clients by phone and email, and pursue timely payments while maintaining professional relationships.

Required: 3+ years in B2B AR or commercial collections, experience with ERP systems and MS Excel, and proven ability to meet collection goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of B2B accounts receivable or commercial collections experience.
• Experience with high-volume portfolios in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to build professional customer relationships while confidently requesting payment.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume commercial account portfolio.
• Contact customers by phone and email to collect past-due balances.
• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly collection goals.
• Resolve payment delays, disputes, short pays, and unapplied cash.
• Maintain accurate collection notes and account records within the ERP system.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and internal teams to resolve payment issues.
• Follow established credit and collection policies while exercising sound judgment.
• Prioritize work based on aging, risk, and collection opportunities.
• Recommend payment plans, credit holds, escalations, or collection strategies as needed.
• Adapt to changing priorities, systems, and processes.
• Support team goals through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
