Collins Aerospace is seeking a Sr. Reliability Engineer to join our Product Safety and Reliability Engineering group in Melbourne, FL, onsite with relocation assistance offered.

The role focuses on reliability planning, testing, and failure analysis for avionics hardware in a leading aerospace environment. You will work with Safety, Electrical, Systems, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineers, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to MTBF estimates and reliability improvements throughout

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required.
• U.S. Persons required due to contract stipulations.
• Experience with circuit analysis and reading schematics.
• Experience presenting technical information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Generate reliability test plans, procedures and reports for HASS/HALT testing.
• Oversee HASS/HALT to validate new hardware designs and environmental limits.
• Conduct failure root cause investigations and provide design input for reliability improvements.
• Develop ESS requirements for product transitions into Manufacturing.
• Perform reliability predictions using 217Plus and consider field performance data.
• Perform FMEA to identify failure modes in new hardware designs.
• Conduct Neutron Single Event Upset susceptibility analyses.
• Participate in all lifecycle phases following ARP4761/MIL-STD-882E.
