Job summary

Odawa Casino Resort seeks an AV/IT Support Technician to maintain and troubleshoot audiovisual and IT systems across the venue. The role combines hands-on AV setup with desk-side support, live event tech, and basic networking, with a focus on reliable user experiences during meetings and events.

You’ll install and support conference rooms, digital signage, and streaming/recording workflows, assist with workstation imaging, and collaborate with IT, Facilities, and partners.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT/Media Tech or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years IT/AV support or blended technical role.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Basic networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
• Ability to lift and install AV equipment up to 40–50 lbs.
• May be required to pass a skills assessment and obtain gaming license.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support AV systems including projectors, displays, sound systems, microphones, video conferencing equipment, and control panels.
• Set up and support live events, meetings, and presentations (audio, video, streaming, recording).
• Troubleshoot AV equipment issues such as connectivity, signal flow, audio feedback, and device failures.
• Maintain and update conference room technology for reliability and ease of use.
• Provide Tier 1–2 IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Document troubleshooting steps and SOPs; train users on AV systems and best practices.
