Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Franchise Automotive Dealer Group Controller for a hybrid role based in Clovis, NM. You will oversee financial operations across the dealership group, including general ledger, monthly closes, and reporting for multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of accounting experience in automotive dealerships, strong budgeting/forecasting, and leadership skills. Travel may be required as operations expand to south Florida.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in automotive dealership accounting and month-end close across multiple rooftops.
• Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting for leadership.
• Proficiency with DMS, accounting software, and Excel; strong data reconciliation.
• Knowledge of compliance, audits, internal controls, and risk management.
• Leadership of accounting teams; fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication with management and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA or certification preferred.
• Experience as Controller in a franchise auto dealership preferred.
• Hybrid work with travel; initial Clovis, NM; potential future Florida operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting staff, reviews reconciliations, and monitors cash flow.
• Coordinate budgets and forecasts; provide financial insights to executive leadership.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturers, lenders, regulators, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with department managers to improve processes and profitability.
• Maintain timely reporting for all stores in the group.
