Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced Controller for a car dealership to oversee the entire accounting function, budgeting, and financial reporting. This role leads the finance team, designs internal controls, and ensures regulatory compliance while managing bonus payments and manufacturing accounting activities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in senior finance roles within automotive settings, with CPA/CMA ideally, and strong mastery of SAP or Autosoft.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration; CPA/CMA desirable.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior finance or accounting role, preferably automotive.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
• Strong financial analysis and forecasting skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP, Autosoft).
• Analytical mindset with a strategic ability.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of managing multiple stakeholders and projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting department operations and design an effective structure.
• Direct and coordinate all financial planning and budgeting functions.
• Prepare financial reports: income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and regulatory reports.
• Oversee accounting for manufacturing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Develop and implement robust internal controls and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgeting reporting.
• Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns.
• Collaborate with senior teams to grow the business via strategic plans.
• Lead and motivate the finance team to high performance and engagement.
• Manage calculation and issuance of bonus payments.
• Utilize Autosoft software for accounting and finance operations.
