CDM Smith is seeking a motivated engineer to design instrumentation and control systems in a hybrid U.S. role based in Grand Island, Nebraska. You will develop P&IDs, control architectures, and HMI/PLC programming while mentoring junior staff and contributing to proposals.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of related experience, with travel up to 20-40% as projects demand. Domestic and international opportunities may arise.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field.
• 5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Creates basic to moderately complex instrumentation, controls and related systems designs using 3D and 4D design practices.
• Reviews basic to highly complex component level shop drawings, contractor clarifications and assist with testing oversight.
• Creates basic to moderately complex instrumentation and control system designs by developing P&IDs, control system architectures, specifications, and control descriptions.
• Leads staff and provides direction and mentoring for junior staff.
• Under general supervision, assists in the preparation proposal sections and presentations, and supports marketing and new business activities.
