Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies is seeking an Administrative Support professional for the Auto Material Damage Department in a hybrid role based in Michigan (Lansing area). You will review auto damage claims, triage to appropriate areas, and coordinate with field staff and appraisal firms to expedite assignments while controlling costs.

You will also handle inquiries from policyholders and third parties, manage lien releases and salvage-related documents, and maintain knowledge of auto

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Typing speed of 40 wpm with accuracy is required.
• Knowledge of computers and various software is required.
• Knowledge of claims activities and terminology is required.
• Associates or bachelors degree preferred.
• Two years of experience in a claim, auto repair, or professional office environment preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide efficient administrative support to the Auto Material Damage Department.
• Review Auto Material Damage claims and triage accordingly to reduce cycle times.
• Balance claim load by monitoring calendars and Claim Center systems.
• Contact field staff and appraisal firms to facilitate claim assignments.
• Maintain cost-consciousness in claim assignments and handling.
• Develop knowledge of automobiles and collision repair terminology.
• Coordinate lien releases, title transfers, and salvage processes.
• Process Secretary of State documents for salvage sales.
• Acknowledge and record salvage sale proceeds and deficits.
• Respond to inquiries from policyholders, claimants, agents, attorneys, and service providers.
• Coordinate car rental coverage and billing per policy.
• Adjust and process payments for Glass and Roadside exceptions as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of auto contracts, endorsements, and exclusions.
• Stay updated on insurance law as it relates to physical damage contracts.
• Serve as a resource to other claims personnel.
