Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking an Underwriting Specialist in the Direct Markets area to manage a portfolio of franchised auto dealer accounts, evaluating exposures, pricing and profitability in line with underwriting guidelines and business strategy.

The role partners closely with Sales, Operations and distributors to support growth and retention, while ensuring disciplined decision-making, accurate documentation, and strong customer relationships. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of underwriting/market-facing experience, or 6+ years in claims/underwriting support.
• Knowledge of line of business and regulatory guidelines.
• Experience with quotes on new and renewal business.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of franchised auto dealer accounts with focus on risk selection, pricing and profitability.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations and internal stakeholders to support growth and retention.
• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities and complete opportunity assessments.
