The Jonus Group is assisting a client in the greater Boston area in hiring an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster. This hybrid opportunity focuses on Massachusetts-focused caseloads and offers a balanced work-life dynamic with collaboration across teams.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in MA WC claims, an active MA Adjuster license (or ability to obtain), and proven success handling litigated claims, medical reviews, and strong negotiation skills in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience handling Workers' Compensation claims in MA.
• Active MA Workers' Compensation Adjuster License (or ability to obtain).
• Experience handling litigated claims and working with defense counsel.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and claims evaluation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Massachusetts workers' compensation claims from inception through resolution.
• Conduct investigations including coverage analysis, recorded statements, and review of medical documentation.
• Evaluate compensability and establish reserves per company guidelines.
• Coordinate with medical providers, legal counsel, and vocational experts to drive claim resolution.
• Proactively manage litigation and attend hearings, mediations, and depositions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Massachusetts workers' compensation statutes and regulations.
• Maintain communication with insureds, claimants, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for cost containment and risk mitigation throughout the life of the claim.
