BJ’s Wholesale Club in Marlborough, MA is seeking an Associate Merchant to lead merchandising for assigned categories, help develop sales and margin plans, and support strategy with analytics.

You will collaborate with vendor partners, manage open-to-buy, and negotiate terms to optimize assortments and pricing.\nThis hybrid position requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 2–5 years of retail merchandising experience, plus strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or operations related field.
• 2–5 years of professional merchandising or retail operations experience.
• Knowledge of vendor negotiation techniques.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Merchandising functions for assigned categories and support sales/m_margin objectives.
• Collaborate on sales and margin plans and forecasts for assigned categories.
• Manage open-to-buy positioning and buys for assigned categories.
• Negotiate with vendors on pricing, quantity, delivery and terms.
• Develop planograms and provide assortment recommendations based on trends.
• Review advertising and promotion analytics to refine strategies.
• Implement category pricing strategies and exit slow-moving items.
• Identify risks and opportunities and present recommendations.
• Provide direction to Merchant Assistants.
