Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Marlborough, MA is seeking an Associate Merchant to drive merchandising for assigned categories in a hybrid role. You’ll collaborate with the merchandise team to develop pricing, assortments and vendor negotiations.

The position emphasizes analytical thinking, strong communication and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. In-office days are Tue-Thu at our Marlborough center, with Mon and Fri remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or operations related field.
• 2-5 years of professional merchandising or retail operations experience.
• Knowledge of vendor negotiation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates on development of sales and margin plans for assigned categories.
• Manages open-to-buy positioning and buys merchandise for assigned categories.
• Negotiates with vendors on merchandise pricing, quantity, delivery and terms.
• Develops merchandise packaging and presentation techniques to enhance productivity.
