Job summary

Seattle University seeks an Associate Director for the Career & Professional Development (CPD). The role focuses on counseling students and alumni toward private practice and JD Advantage paths, and coordinating CPD’s interview programs and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Exceptional written and oral interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to counsel students one-on-one and guide them personally.
• Program management experience.
• Willingness to lead and present to groups and at events.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Meet one-on-one with students to develop personalized career support strategies.
• Document meetings with substantive counseling notes in CPD systems.
• Develop content for bi-weekly CPD newsletters and targeted emails.
• Coordinate CPD interview programs across summer/fall/spring for recent graduates.
• Organize CPD’s annual networking events with local and regional law firms.
• Collaborate with students, faculty, alumni and external partners to create workshops and presentations.
